Dear Friend,
Fig season has arrived. We have three beautiful fruiting fig trees in our garden and we have been anticipating their ripening all summer. I had never tasted a fresh fig before. They are in one word... delectable. Something of a cross between a straberry and a peach in flavor. They are sweet and juicy and have little seeds that sort of pop on your tongue. I like to pick a few in the evening and put them in the refrigerator to cool overnight... enjoying them for breakfast in the morning. There is something so indulgent about being able to pick and ejoy frest fruit from your garden. I feel completely spoiled...
